We are Ashley and Phillip Colhouer and 13:13 is the company that we created in order to blend our creative and professional lives.

We’re a friendly, laid-back team with a style we like to call
“Boutique Wedding Photography” which is all about capturing fun and romantic moments in a fresh and exciting way. We believe the best moments are unscripted, this is what we try to anticipate and capture.

To dig a little deeper, my passion for photography originally led me to shoot in the fashion industry, while Phillip continued his studies of design. We shot our first wedding as a favor for a friend and the rest is history.

We absolutely love what we do and couldn’t be more grateful that we’ve been blessed to be able to make a living doing so.

On a more personal note…

Why 13:13 you ask? 1 Corinthians 13 was the Bible verse read at our wedding and has pretty much become the philosophy in which we strive to live our lives. We have been together for over 6 years and happily married for over 2. We live with our 5 adorable little Shih Tzu’s (Phoebe, Atari, Kabuki, Yentl, and Lotus) and just welcomed the arrival of our beautiful little girl Nylin Lilly Colhouer,
July 20th 2008...talk about a blessing!

Phillip and Nylin went out to “get bagels” this morning and surprised me with these beautiful flowers!
I made some super yummy red velvet cupcakes. And I even made the icing!
How stinkin’ cute is she??
This is what happens when we let daddy dress her… Just the outfit, she actually loves to wear her knee pads everywhere. I usually have to wait until she’s napping to take pry them off of her.

On a side note, notice anything different?  :)
13:13 is due for a facelift. Time to tone things down a bit.
As I mentioned in my last post, we’re pushing back the deadline for our wedding photography giveaway. We’ve had some amazingly inspirational submissions but we’re already booked on their days. We’re extending the deadline to March 1st so please email us if you want details.
