Prior to shooting weddings, my photography career started in the fashion industry. I love love love my job shooting weddings and couples but I’ve had the itch to do something creative (fashion/editorial-ish) for a long time now. Thankfully Sarah from Sarah Elizabeth Designs was on board when I mentioned this concept and so the brainstorming began.
The pieces started to come together quickly especially after Phillip and I shot Yessy and Dustin’s engagement session. Yessy was the perfect model for our shoot! Phillip claims that he discovered her. :)
We’ve been collaborating a bunch with Sarah on weddings and design lately! She did an amazing job with the styling of this shoot, from the color pallet, to wardrobe (she made one of the dresses!), to the handmade accessories. Those sweet touches made all the difference in the world!
Our crew was amazing! A few of us stayed at a hotel on the beach to make waking up at 6am (start time) a little less painful. Dustin, Yessy’s hubby-to-be actually woke up at 4am to drive from Miami to help us. Talk about a trooper! I’m really happy with the results from our shoot and I’m so proud of our team AND bride-turned-model!

I just want to say that I am soooooo thrilled to have Ashely and Phillip as my photographers! All of you, including Sarah, are simply amazing. The pics came out incredible and I had such a great time playing dress up. Seriously, I can’t thank you enough for these pics – I love them!!!!!! And I think I nailed “bedroom eyes” quite well, lol :-P
