Here’s a super fun DIY wedding we had the pleasure of shooting in Orlando a few weeks ago. Susie and Michael are close, long-time family friends of Phillip’s. So long, that Susie even helped baby-sit Phillip back in the day! Susie and Michael have been together for 14 years! So what better day to “tie the knot” than on their 14th anniversary! The theme of the wedding was “Thai-talian” a phrase affectionately coined by the merging of their two cultures. Luckily for us that also meant the merging of some very yummy food! :)
The entire event was completely perfect and charming. Michael, Susie, friends and family squeezed every minute out of the day to pull it all together. Everything from homemade Thai food prepared by Susie’s mom Samran, to the reception hall being set up by friends and family.
Michael said it best in his speech… “You can judge the character of a person by the company they keep.” Thank you for letting us be a part of your company and very special day. You are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends, family and each other. We wish you guys the happiest of times!
Such a cute favor idea! Susie (and Michael) used their leftover invitations to create a gift for their guests. Their invitations were letter-pressed and infused with basil seeds (see first image in post). The favor was a little ceramic pot, some soil and sweet little heart cut-outs from their invites. You plant the hearts in the soil and watch your basil grow! Ours is already sprouting! :)
